Web Production Internship (Intranet): MassGeneral Hospital for Children

MassGeneral Hospital for Children is seeking an intern to assist with website production on a new intranet site.
 
Qualifications: Some knowledge of HTML including layout and willingness to learn new programs
Commitment: Minimum of six months
Academic majors: All
 
Practicum: Working in templates in a content management system, the intern will edit existing intranet pages and create new pages to help facilitate internal hospital communications. This unpaid internship may be completed remotely, with the option to work on campus at MassGeneral Hospital for Children in Boston if desired; weekly time commitment is negotiable. Intern will report to the senior manager of digital strategy and web development and will work closely with patient education and public affairs staff.
 
Learning outcomes:
 
  • Demonstrate and apply basic HTML/CSS skills.
  • Apply professional communication and teamwork skills in working with professional clients.
  • Apply existing design guidelines, brand standards, and standardized code to a project.
